The club is looking into purchasing a TSC Blackstone 2 burner grill. The $200.00 plus purchase was approved with a motion by June Streitenberger and a 2nd by Kim Smith.
Chris requested a meeting with David Lane at the SPECIAL USE AREA located in HOCKING HILLS. David Lane, with approval from Dan Balser ( Chief of Forestry) offered to make improvements to the Special Use Area in the way of grading for parking and gravel if Fairfield OHC can find the funds. This led to Bryan Black and Chris meeting with Tim Schaeffer (State Senator) on July 1st. Senator Schaeffer offered to assist in the search by beginning a state wide search for unused Capitol Funds. Bryan then contacted Senator Shane Wilkin’s office ( Hocking Rep) and spoke to his aide. Bryan was able to explain the usage and need to justify the project. So with possible help from both Senators Chris and Bryan remain encouraged about the future concerning the SPECIAL USE AREA AT HOCKING.
