Mom had our kids on horses as soon as they were able. Kailey and mom have always had a special bond because of riding, and I know Kailey got her passion through her grandmother. We rode the back roads many times from our house in Lancaster all the way to Sugar Grove to my grandparent’s farm. Even though it was only a 10 mile ride each way, 20 miles round trip was a lot to a kid and an all day trip! As both Becky and I gained interest in boys, we rode less, or rode for other reasons!
